Montchavin piste Crozats
Crozats is one of the longer black runs in La Plagne and starts from just below the Inversens chair in the Montchavin sector of La Plagne. Access is possible from either from the base of the Inversens red piste or by taking the Crozats chair then Teppes blue followed by the Marmottes red (which terminates at the foot of the Inversens chair).
The top and mid sections of this run are the steepest before it gradually mellows to join the end section of the Dérochoir black piste which starts much higher up in the glacier sector. The long run-out of this piste is far from black but it does take you back to the slow Bauches chair which you can take to link onto the Crozats chair and do the whole lap again. Note, because of the aspect of this run, it’s frequently in shade – which can mean great conditions after a fresh fall. However, you should also be aware this area is marked as ‘Natur’, meaning it never gets pisted so can have huge moguls. There are also great opportunities to try some of the steeper La Plagne off-piste runs here – although you should hire a La Plagne guide to do this safely.
