Grande Rochette / Plagne Centre intermediate pistes: Almost without exception, when you take a lift in La Plagne, at the summit you’ll find a blue option to get back down. However, it’s worth noting some of the blues in this sector can be quite steep in sections for their supposed blue rating (e.g. the Mira blue piste). Recommended blues include the Ramy, Bridge, Capella and Petite Rochette pistes. Check our La Plagne routes page to lengthen the runs in this area or visit the iRide / LaPlagne360 YouTube channel for more info.

Quick tip: These are confidence-building pistes, but some Grande Rochette blues can still feel steeper than expected in places. In France, rescue and evacuation costs can be charged to you even on marked runs, so it’s worth sorting proper cover before your trip.
Good ski insurance helps cover medical treatment, lift evacuation and cancellation if something goes wrong before or during your holiday.
