Biolley / Aime 2000 beginner runs: The Biolley / Aime La Plagne sector around Aime 2000 in La Plagne has some of the best total beginner pistes and zones. However, while the green pistes are good, novice skiers and snowboarders will soon want to ride the slightly steeper blues in this area like the excellent Golf blue piste – a run that is well within the skills of all but total beginners.
The pistes around Aime 2000 also have the bonus of featuring some of the most dramatic views in the resort, looking out over the Isére valley to Mont Blanc – much better than the novice areas in many other ski stations where the learner pistes are often lower down in the valleys. Quick tip: Even on easy pistes, falls happen and equipment gets tangled when people are still finding their rhythm. In France, rescue and evacuation costs can be charged to you even on marked runs, so it makes sense to sort proper cover before your La Plagne trip.
Good ski insurance helps cover medical treatment, piste-side assistance and cancellations if something goes wrong before or during your holiday.
