La Plagne glacier fixed chairlifts télésiege TSF: Many moons ago, La Plagne used to be one of very few resorts in the world to offer summer riding, but those days are now long gone and the lift company has since reimagined the high alpine area of the resort.
While these changes have reduced the total number of runs on the glacier, they also give easier access to some of La Plagne’s best off-piste terrain. There is now only one chair serving this area, a change largely made to reduce the environmental impact of operating lifts above terrain that is now largely devoid of glacial snowpack.

Quick tip: The glacier sector is more limited than it used to be, but you’re still heading into high-altitude terrain where conditions can change quickly. In France, rescue and evacuation costs can be charged to you even on marked pistes, so it’s worth sorting proper cover before your trip.
Good ski insurance helps cover medical treatment, lift evacuation and cancellation if something goes wrong before or during your holiday.
