La Plagne Glacier intermediate pistes: With the exception of the Frêtes blue piste, the Bellecôte glacier zone has some of La Plagne’s toughest runs rated either red or black.
However, if you want a taste of high-altitude piste riding in the resort, this flowing blue is easily accessed from the mid-station of the Bellecôte glacier gondola and served by the Chalet de Bellecôte two-man chair. Just be mindful of the end-of-day queues that form to get back from this area. Visit the iRide / LaPlagne360 YouTube channel for more info.

Quick tip: The Glacier only has one blue piste, so if you’re heading up here you want your gear feeling right from the start. Booking ski or snowboard hire in advance usually means cheaper prices online, better size availability and a much easier first morning in resort.
Good-fitting kit matters even more when you’re riding at altitude in exposed terrain.

Quick tip: The Glacier blue is still high, exposed and far more weather-affected than many lower runs in La Plagne. In France, rescue and evacuation costs can be charged to you even on marked pistes, so it’s worth sorting proper cover before you head up.
Good ski insurance helps cover medical treatment, lift evacuation and cancellation if something goes wrong before or during your holiday.
