When booking a holiday to La Plagne, it’s essential to remember each of the stations has its own unique personality – and this is particularly evident when you consider the lower valley resorts. Not so long ago, these were just traditional working mountain villages and, consequently, the pace of life down here is considerably less hectic than up in the other altitude stations. Also, these stations tend to be favoured more by French property owners so night-time entertainment can be a little limited. You should also remember, in the early or late season, snow cover and quality further down the hill can get limited. Nonetheless, the Montchavin sector offers some of the best riding in all of La Plagne – plus has the added benefit of very easy access over to Les Arcs via the Vanoise Express lift.
