The Roche de Mio bar and restaurant sits at the top of second-highest peak in La Plagne. It has great views over the Bellecôte glacier, Mont Blanc, Les Arcs and the Champagny sector with Trois Vallées far in the distance.

As you’d expect from an on-hill restaurant with such prominent views, prices aren’t the cheapest but the vista more than makes up for that. It also has a huge sun terrace located near the gondola.
The restaurant has a good mix of buffet dishes or take-out snacks – plus all the usual suspects when it comes to drinks.
The Roche de Mio is a great place to stop at any time of day. However, it’s particularly nice towards the tail end of the afternoon with the sun setting over Champagny-en-Vanoise.
There’s also a helipad very close by which always makes for a bit of a spectacle when choppers fly in and out. Access is easy via three main lifts – Inversens, Roche de Mio and Carella.
There’s a suitable range of blue pistes and red pistes from the top heading over to Champagny or back into the main Plagne Bellecôte / Belle Plagne bowl.
