Alps snow report 01/01/26
La Plagne has no meaningful snow reports anymore and I’m unable to provide updates due to being in physiotherapy recovery from knee injuries. Consequently, below you’ll find a very accurate update on conditions across the Alps provided by Chamonix Ski Bum. Sign up to his channel for more great reports.

For whatever reason, other sites aren’t being fully accurate or honest on snow conditions – which is a shame because, by definition, a ‘report’ should tell you exactly how things are.
La Plagne snow report
As you’ll see in this video, snow conditions aren’t great across the majority of the Alps. This situation is far from confined just to La Plagne – but it’s important to realise expectations before booking a trip. Artificial snow is maintaining many pistes and the majority of Alpine resorts really need snow.
Higher areas are faring ok but things are getting hard and scraped. Nonetheless, snow depths are way down from what we’d typically expect at this time of year. Lower areas are suffering badly – particularly Champagny which has no village snow right now.
