LA PLAGNE PISTE GUIDES

PLAGNE BELLECÔTE BLUE PISTES

Plagne Bellecôte Lainés

One of the easiest-going Arpette blues: wide, forgiving and scenic — with the option to ride through Belle Plagne village

Plagne Bellecôte piste Lainés: The runs fanning out from the top of the Arpette chair are some of the best confidence-building intermediate pistes anywhere. These easy-going blues mix long, cruising flats with slightly steeper pitches on the way down — perfect for testing new skills and reinforcing what you’ve learned.

Lainés is a variation of the main Arpette piste which branches left off the main run (as shown in the videos below). Though it isn’t clearly shown on the piste map, you can often use it as a practical route back into Belle Plagne by staying left at junctions — it’s not entirely clear whether this is still considered Lainés, but it’s the same ‘stay-left’ line many riders use.

PLAGNE BELLECÔTE INTERMEDIATE PISTES

Plagne Bellecôte Lainés blue

Wide, mellow and confidence-building — with the added novelty of riding through Belle Plagne (but lift queues can be brutal)

La Plagne intermediate piste Lainés: Lainés is one of the most confidence-building blues in the Bellecôte bowl — gentle gradient, loads of width, and great views across the resort.

It’s ideal for beginners stepping up to blues and early intermediates looking for relaxed cruising, rollers and space to practise turns. Just remember you’ll usually pay for it with queues on the Arpette lift if you lap the area at peak times.

As with the other Arpette blues, it has impressive views over to Grande Rochette, Les Verdons, Biolley and the main La Plagne bowl. Beginner and early intermediate riders will love it — wide, forgiving and confidence-building.

The only real drawback is the busy lift (Arpette) that awaits to get back up. The Arpette and Bergerie chairs flip for top spot as the busiest lifts in La Plagne and, as a key arterial lift out of Bellecôte (and the main route over to Montchavin / Les Arcs), it suffers badly from queues at almost any time of day.

SKI INSURANCE

Heading into unfamiliar terrain?

Proper ski insurance matters more than most people realise.

Quick tip: Even straightforward pistes can change quickly with weather, visibility and traffic. Good cover means lift evacuation, medical help and rescue costs are handled if something goes wrong — which in the Alps can otherwise be expensive.

If you haven’t sorted cover yet, it’s worth doing before your trip.
