Plagne Montalbert piste Montalbert École

New-Project-2021-08-17T174551.940-1200x675.jpg

The Plagne Montalbert École piste (green) is located right next to the Montalbert drag lift  on the Front de Neige of Plagne Montalbert. It’s a great place for total beginners to learn to ski or snowboard with a very gentle gradient and long run-out area at the bottom.

Due to the low altitude, runs here can get icy first thing in the morning as the season progresses or in low-snow years. If conditions aren’t great down low, beginners would be well-advised to take the main Montalbert gondola out of the village up to the summit of Fornelet where there’s another novice green piste, Grenouilles.

Pros
  • Great beginner area
  • Wide open
  • Good, slow lift back
  • Near restaurants etc
Cons
  • Faster riders from above
