La Plagne early season opening weekend 2025

The 2025/26 winter is shaping up nicely in La Plagne with a special early opening weekend ahead of the full season launch. The resort will have a pre-opening weekend on 6 and 7 December 2025, giving keen skiers and boarders a first chance to find their again before the main opening a week later. The cost is 25E per day – or free if you have any of the following passes:

Pre-opening lifts for 6–7 December 2025

For this preview weekend La Plagne has confirmed it will run a small set of lifts around Plagne Centre, weather permitting. Click here to check the La Plagne forecast. The lifts announced for the pre-opening are:

The Boulevard chairlift, France draglift and the Indian’s magic carpet will be free of charge for this weekend which makes it a nice little bonus for anyone already in resort or nearby.

Which pistes will be open

For the pre-opening weekend La Plagne has confirmed the lifts listed above but has not published a detailed list of pistes. However, these lifts give access to the majority of the main runs in the Plagne Centre bowl.

Main season opening and “The Opening” weekend

La Plagne’s opening date for the ski area is scheduled to open on Saturday 13 December 2025 with a festive “Opening” weekend party around Plagne Bellecôte. This will feature an après-ski village with DJ sets and entertainment to mark the start of the season, so expect a lively vibe on and off the slopes.
