We presume it’s kept shut due to its proximity to the avalanche trench which protects Belle Plagne, as this could become a real trap in times of deeper snow.

La Plagne advanced piste Lognan: Access to this run is via the Tunnel blue route from Roche de Mio and, when (or, more importantly, if) it’s open, it provides easy access into Belle Plagne.
Reality check: Don’t plan your day around it — it’s been shut for most of recent seasons.
