Tour de France La Plagne stage confirmed
As reported by La Plagne 360 earlier in the month, La Plagne has now been officially confirmed as the host of the final mountain stage of the 2025 edition of the Tour de France.
Le Tour de France makes a welcome return to La Plagne
Most cycling fans would agree the Tour de France is largely won and lost in the mountains. Next year’s Tour includes three brutal climbing stages including Mont Ventoux. The next day the peloton will leave from the outskirts of Grenoble (Vif) to climb the Col du Glandon followed by a ride from Brides-les-Bains up the Col de la Loze between Courchevel and Méribel.
The final high climbing stage will depart from Albertville and see the riders make the last ascent to La Plagne, a rolling road up to the Tarentaise resort. The full stage features over 4500m of climbing before the La Plagne climb.
La Plagne hasn’t hosted the Tour since 2002 so it’s truly a massive honour to be selected for the last day in the mountains.
