The Grande Rochette piste Petite Rochette blue is a hugely enjoyable run around the back of Grande Rochette which gives even very early intermediate riders the chance to experience all-mountain riding in a safe and easy environment. It is also one of La Plagne’s best intermediate runs.

To access, head left from the top of the Funiplagne Grande Rochette and continue down the wide piste shared with the Mira blue until there’s a natural break, with one run going right (the piste going left is Mira and takes you back down to Plagne Centre).

The Petite Rochette is a winding path that crosses into the Champagny sector, round the back of the main area. It features various switchback turns, zig-zagging in direction until it reaches a junction at the top of the Col de Forcle drag lift with three options:

The Champagny side of the mountain is massively underdeveloped giving huge potential for La Plagne off-piste riding when the conditions are right – just drop off the side of the Petite Rochette for some of La Plagne’s best, most accessible out-of-bounds descents (but hire a La Plagne guide to be safe).
