Biolley lift Golf
In a resort with so many detachable chairs, it’s very noticeable when you find yourself on the slower, fixed-grip variety. Given its relatively short length, the Golf chair seems to crawl its way back up to Aime 2000 – and that’s made all the more evident by the fact it travels alongside the much quicker Roche chair.
Golf serves the Golf blue piste of the same name – one of the best beginner / early intermediate areas in La Plagne – as well as Sapin blue a little further to the left (from the top). The Golf area is a great beginners’ zones in La Plagne with spectacular views over Mont Blanc. The run is officially marked blue but you’ll see many ski school classes here with skiers and snowboarders of a standard lower than the official intermediate ranking.
Given the slow speed of this chair, if you have the skills, you would be recommended to ride the André Martzolf red or Emile Allais red or the Edmond Blanchoz (formerly Cornegidouille) blue piste blue down to the base of at La Roche – all much longer runs with the added bonus of faster uplift.

- Very slow – made all the more noticeable by the speed of the nearby Roche chair
