Grande Rochette lift Colorado
The Grande Rochette lift Colorado out of Plagne Centre serves some of the most interesting intermediate terrain and runs in La Plagne – as well as an excellent beginners’ area (Piste Mauve) and the Luge Park. However, this also means the Colorado lift often gets busy. If your riding is up to it, you’ll often find it’s quicker taking the Funiplagne instead – however that means tackling the steep Carina red to access the same pistes, so factor in your own ability when making that decision.
Colorado passes over some beautiful wooded terrain with bowls and natural gullies / quarters before opening out higher up the Grande Rochette bowl. No matter what your level, you should find the runs accessed by this chair provide fun routes back down – particularly if you stray just a little distance from the main pistes.
- Accesses great runs
- Great scenery
- Fast, 6-person lift
- Many beginners
- Many ski schools
- This lift gets seriously busy after 10am
- In many cases, you might be quicker taking the Funiplagne (it accesses the same runs)
