Biolley lift Plagne 1800
The Biolley lift Plagne 1800 chairlift is one of just two lifts out of Plagne 1800 (the other is Mélèzes which connects up to the Boulevard chair and Bergerie chair below Plagne Centre). Consequently, this lift can get ridiculously busy first thing in the morning during the popular holiday periods and should be mostly avoided early in the day unless you’re actually staying in Plagne 1800.
This fixed chair climbs steeply out of the village (max gradient 67%), taking around 5 minutes to reach the top station just below Aime 2000. From there you can take a short ride down to the Golf chair to get high enough to access the main Plagne Centre / Grande Rochette bowl or go further down the Edmond Blanchoz (formerly Cornegidouille) blue piste to ride down to the Envers chair (midway) or Roche chair down at the base at La Roche. The other option is to ride the Crête Côte black piste back down to 1800 – one of the tougher La Plagne black runs which also offers great off-piste in La Plagne after fresh snow.
Alternatively, it’s also possible to link over to the Montalbert pistes via the Adrets chair (again, midway down next to Envers). Note, the area at the top of this lift is also one of La Plagne’s best beginner areas.
- Main lift out of 1800
