Biolley piste Crête Côte
The Biolley piste Crête Côte black stretches from just below Aime 2000 down to Plagne 1800, roughly following a route under the 1800 chairlift. It’s one of the few La Plagne black pistes another of La Plagne’s ‘Natur’ pistes, meaning it remains unpisted. As a result, later in the season, the moguls here can get pretty big – however, if you can get this run after fresh snow, it’s a joy.
Crête Côte starts with a gentle run-in from the top of the 1800 chair before dropping sharply as it reaches the treeline. There is a steep section before the run veers away to the left then turns back towards the bottom station of the chair – mellowing in gradient the lower you go. After fresh snow, there are also multiple fun options for runs through the trees.
If you’re staying in 1800, this is one of five options for getting home on a piste. If your skills aren’t quite up to black runs, you’d be better heading for the Jean Marie blue or Lovatiere blue (from the other side of Aime) or the Loup Garou blue and Les Mines red (from under Plagne Centre).
