Loup Garou is another of La Plagne’s pistes which really serves as more of a link run than anything else. It starts near the bottom of the Boulevard and Bergerie chairs below Plagne Centre, Plagne Villages and Plagne Soleil and has an initial flat section as it crosses over the main La Plagne access road.

From here, it then goes under another road before opening out and joining the Les Mines red piste. Head skier’s right onto the path through the trees to avoid taking the tougher Les Mines option and stay on Loup Garou.

The Loup Garou run then zig-zags back and forth cutting an easier line down the hill before opening out at the bottom giving access to the Mélèzes chair or Plagne 1800 village. Staying straight on here also allows you to reach the 1800 chair up to Aime 2000, riding alongside the very easy Praconduit green piste.

Pros
  • Easy route to 1800
  • Sidehits / side drops
  • Rarely busy
  • Fun switchbacks
  • Over and under bridges
  • Feels a bit like a video game
Cons
  • Really just an access run
  • Does get busy end of the day with people returning to 1800
