Champagny-lift-Eterlou-1200x675.jpg

The Champagny lift Éterlou is a short drag lift (extending pole Poma) and serves the small beginners’ area at the top of the Champagny gondola. With a short walk at the top, it can also be used to access the Rossa chair – though, really, you’d be better saving your energy and just take the Borseliers chair or Borseliers III poma – both of which give access without the hike.

The runs from the top are mellow and suited best to early beginner riders – particularly the Éterlou piste which snakes its way down a very shallow gradient. There are some very good La Plagne intermediate pistes in this area.

Pros
  • Slow with less ‘kick’
  • Good for beginners
  • Great scenery
  • Serves good novice run
  • Accesses similar area to Borseliers III – but easier
Cons
  • Short walk at top to reach Rossa
  • Depending on your ability, you might be better taking Borseliers III
