Taken as a whole, the Levasset piste is one of the longest blues in the whole of Paradiski – if not one of the longest in the Alps – and is one of La Plagne’s best intermediate runs. The main run starts at the top of the Roche de Mio sector (2739m) dropping all the way down to the base of the Borseliers chair at around 2100m, covering around 7km distance along the way.

The lower section (Bas), starts near the Carella chair base station, traversing through the most astounding scenery along the way. Aside from a couple of steeper pitches (notably there’s one at the start), there’s nothing here that should unduly challenge even the earliest intermediate rider. Most people will get down without issue but, even if you get into difficulty, there’s always the option to side-slip.

The run terminates at the foot of Borseliers where you have the option to ride this lift back up then take the Rossa chair followed by the Tome blue back down to the Carella which will take you all the way back up to Roche de Mio – where you can lap the whole run again. Highly recommended. Alternatively, you can keep the good times coming by going straight on at the base to join the Les Bois red down to Champagny-en-Vanoise at 1250m – giving a colossal vertical drop of 1489m.

You can see the Levasset piste in its entirety plus Les Bois in full in our See La Plagne in a day video.
