Grande Rochette lift Boulevard
The Grande Rochette lift Boulevard is a slow chair that passes almost within touching distance of the Le France building in Plagne Centre. The chair is mainly used by ski schools and riders linking up and out of Plagne 1800 – so is definitely best avoided early morning due to frequent long queues.
At the top of the Boulevard, riders can head left to the Funiplagne or Colorado and Becoin chairs – or ride back down to the base on the green Boulevard piste which passes under the Le France building as well as the main road to Plagne Villages / Plagne Soleil. This offers one of the best early beginner areas in La Plagne, for novice skiers and snowboarders to start finding their feet on the wide-open, relatively flat pistes which flow back to the chair. With an easy chair and mellow-gradient pistes – plus its proximity to Plagne Centre – this is a great place to learn skiing or snowboarding.
