Grande Rochette piste Arnica is a very short blue run above Plagne Centre – and another of those La Plagne pistes that you’ll likely ride without even realising. It flows naturally off the Pollux blue piste to skier’s left as you’re riding down. It has a very natural gradient, perfect for improving beginners and intermediates.

La Plagne intermediate piste Arnica

Arnica can be reached either from the Colorado chair (most popular) or the Funiplagne followed by Carina red run. Note, the Carina is pretty steep – particularly in the top section – so riders of a lower ability will probably prefer to stick to the Colorado for uplift.

Pros
  • Alternative to Pollux
  • Normally quieter
  • Fast and long
  • Easy access off-piste
  • Feels more remote
  • Sidehits – a lot of sidehits
Cons
  • Very shallow in places
