The Grande Rochette piste Marie Chantal is an enjoyable blue piste that feeds off the bottom of the Verdons blue and goes all the way back down to Plagne Centre. It’s also possible to reach this run from the Arnica blue and Pollux blue pistes. Indeed this is another of those runs in La Plagne that you’ll likely do without even realising it, such is the wide-open, flowing nature of many of the pistes on this part of the mountain.

From the bottom, you can repeat the run again taking the Colorado chair followed by Arnica / Pollux or via the Funiplagne then the Carina red (again joining the same pistes).

Pros
  • Fantastic long blue
  • Fast
  • Interesting terrain
  • Sidehits – lots
  • Relatively quiet
  • Great views over Centre
Cons
  • Lifts up busy
  • Popular with ski schools
