Montchavin cable car télépherique (TPH): Together, La Plagne and Les Arcs comprise Paradiski, the world’s third-largest ski resort – and this was only possible with the construction of the huge Vanoise Express télépherique TPH cable car that links from the Montchavin sector across to Peisey-Nancroix on the Les Arcs side.
This massive double-deck lift opened in 2003 and ferries skiers and snowboarders between the two resorts every day throughout the season. While a trip to Les Arcs should be on the agenda of every early intermediate and above skier/snowboarder visiting La Plagne, the ride alone on this beast of a lift is an experience in itself.
