La Plagne Champagny intermediate pistes guide: If you’re looking for great advancing beginner and intermediate riding, the Champagny sector of La Plagne has it in abundance with the Champagny blue pistes – and, because this area traditionally stays much quieter than the areas on the front of the mountain, you should also largely avoid crammed pistes. Throw in great views, fantastic restaurants and fast lifts and Champagny is, for many, the best area in La Plagne.
The Geisha, Levasset and Bozelet pistes come highly recommended but this entire area is full of great blue pistes that will build confidence and help improve your skiing and snowboarding. Check out the iRide / La Plagne 360 YouTube channel to see more videos filmed in this area.

Quick tip: Unless you’re staying in Champagny village, getting to this sector will involve crossing other La Plagne areas. The wrong skis or board can make that hard work — especially if they’re badly sized or not fit for purpose.
Booking ski or snowboard hire in advance means the right kit is ready, sizes are available and you’ll benefit from cheaper online prices. Choose a shop near your accommodation so you can get straight out and start exploring more of La Plagne.

Quick tip: Even on marked pistes, accidents can (and sadly do) happen — especially when covering big distances or skiing unfamiliar terrain. In France, mountain rescue and evacuation can be charged directly to you.
Good ski insurance covers unforeseen issues if something goes wrong. If you haven’t arranged cover yet, it’s worth doing so before your trip.
