La Plagne Champagny advanced pistes guide: The Champagny sector of La Plagne above Champagny-en-Vanoise village has some of the resort’s best and quietest runs with astounding views over to Trois Vallées as well as some of La Plagne’s best on-hill restaurants. It also happens to be home to the mammoth Mont de la Guerre red piste, rated by many locals as the best run in all of La Plagne – and one of the best in Paradiski.
Other good Champagny red pistes include Les Bois and Hara-Kiri although advanced skiers and snowboarders will still enjoy Champagny’s huge range of blue pistes in this area too. Visit the iRide / LaPlagne360 YouTube channel for more info.

Quick tip: Unless you’re staying in Champagny village, getting to this sector will involve crossing other La Plagne areas. The wrong skis or board can make that hard work — especially if they’re badly sized or not fit for purpose.
Booking ski or snowboard hire in advance means the right kit is ready, sizes are available and you’ll benefit from cheaper online prices. Choose a shop near your accommodation so you can get straight out and start exploring more of La Plagne.

Quick tip: Even on marked pistes, accidents can (and sadly do) happen — especially when covering big distances or skiing unfamiliar terrain. In France, mountain rescue and evacuation can be charged directly to you.
Good ski insurance covers unforeseen issues if something goes wrong. If you haven’t arranged cover yet, it’s worth doing so before your trip.
