Grande Rochette / Plagne Centre resorts: The Grande Rochette area covers three neighbouring bases — Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil and Plagne Centre. Although these stations sit close together on the piste map, each has a very different feel. Plagne Villages is the quietest and most low-key, Plagne Soleil is a touch livelier, while Plagne Centre is the main hub with the biggest choice of bars, restaurants and accommodation.

It’s worth remembering that, while these resorts link easily on skis, they’re more spread out on foot. The shuttle buses and pedestrian lifts help, but after a night out, the distances can still feel like a bit of a trek if you’re staying outside Plagne Centre.
