Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport is one of the larger airports serving the French Alps, but it’s generally a less straightforward option for reaching La Plagne than Geneva or Chambéry.
That said, if Lyon suits your flights or travel plans, there are workable routes — most of which involve transfers via the Tarentaise valley – but they’re more limited outside weekends and at the start/end of the season.
