The Crozats chair was completely renovated for season 2017/18, making it one of La Plagne’s fastest chairlifts. This lift used to be agonisingly slow but now transfers riders back from the Montchavin pistes above Montchavin village to links accessing the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio sector in just over three minutes.

While it might be tempting to take the old Salla chair back from this side, you really are much quicker riding a little further down the hill to take Crozats. In particular, the views from the top station are stunning – but this lift is also much, much quicker.

La Plagne’s management group (SAP) is investing heavily in improving access to and from Les Arcs / Montchavin and the Crozats lift should soon be joined by another from the bottom of the Inversens chair, improving transit between the areas. As well as giving access between the two zones, Crozats also gives access to the Teppes blue, Marmottes red (to get to Inversens) as well as the Barrières blue back towards Plagne Bellecôte / Belle Plagne. Worth noting: while the views up into this bowl are good, try taking a look behind you, over to Les Arcs and Mont Blanc. These are some of La Plagne’s best views. Beautiful.

Pros
  • Long, fast chair
  • Great scenery
  • Main arterial link
  • Queues rare – apart from later in the day
  • Much quicker than taking the Salla chair
  • Taken with Marmottes & the Inversens chair, provides another access to Roche de Mio
Cons
  • Can get busy later with people returning from Les Arcs
