The Montchavin lift Dos Rond is a relatively slow chair that links from the top of the Pierres Blanches chair up to the higher Montchavin pistes. It is located right next to the Plan Leschaux poma which, when it’s busy, can be a quicker option for reaching the top of the hill. Another idea is to ride down further and catch the much faster Bijolin chair which starts a good bit lower down the mountain (about one-third of the way down the Mont Blanc blue).

From the top of Dos Rond, turn left to reach the main plateau (where the Plan Leschaux and Bijolin lifts terminate) or go straight on to reach the start of the Replat rope tow where you can take the Replat blue down to the Salla chairlift or Crozats chairlift. Multiple pistes are possible from both options.

Pros
  • Great scenery
  • Multiple options from the top
  • Reaches highest point of the Montchavin sector
Cons
  • Slow compared to Bijolin
  • Riding down to Bijolin also gives a longer run
