Montchavin lift Plan Leschaux
At first sight, the Montchavin lift Plan Leschaux might seem a little pointless but it’s good for avoiding queues on the slow Dos Rond chair just to the right. It also provides access to the Montchavin boardercross to the left so this lift can be handy for quick access while also being an alternative to the Dos Rond chair – particularly when it’s busy. There’s also a gate piste far left as you head up – although it’s normally fenced off for race training.
The Plan Leschaux poma departs from a plateau shared with Dos Rond and ends at the top station of the Bijolin chair. From the top, you can either ride back down on the one of La Plagne’s best pistes – the Mont Blanc blue or Dos Rond blue or take the boardercross which terminates near the base. Alternatively, drop over the back of Montchavin to access either the Salla chair or Crozats chair to get back to Belle Plagne or Plagne Bellecôte on the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio pistes.
- Faster than Dos Rond
- Queues rare
- Great scenery
- Accesses boardercross
- Not everyone likes riding pomas
