Montchavin lift Replat
The Montchavin lift Replat rope tow provides an essential link over a short flat plateau between the Plagne Bellecôte / Roche de Mio pistes and the front of Montchavin piste sector and the runs that span out below toward the valley floor and the villages of Montchavin and Les Coches. The tow is split into two sections and there’s normally a small downhill ramp to help you keep speed to reach the second section.
Replat is easy enough apart from when riders stop in the entry and exit points. Snowboarders – goofy riders (right foot forward) will face the rope facing forward, regular riders (left foot in front) will have it behind them. Top tip – as you approach the end of each tow, pull yourself forward to launch over the flats. This is particularly important for snowboarders – especially at the end of the second rope – to avoid walking across the flat towards the Mont Blanc piste.
