Dos Rond is a short blue run located under the Dos Rond chair, near the Bijolin chairlift at the top of the Montchavin sector. To access, head skier’s left off the top of the chair, then left again as you reach the top of the Mont Blanc blue piste.

Dos Rond takes a route flowing left before skirting back to feed into the main Mont Blanc piste. The views of Mont Blanc across the Isère valley from this area are astounding – with a panorama over Les Arcs to the right.

The Dos Rond run is fairly featureless but, in fresh snow, this whole area is transformed into a massive powder playground with the main runs merging together providing very easy, very accessible off-piste riding for all levels rather than the tougher La Plagne off-piste routes.

Pros
  • Massively wide
  • Always feels quiet
  • Drops (hunt them out)
  • Mellow gradient
  • Great views of Mt Blanc
  • Easy access, ride anywhere off-piste
  • Feeds into other great runs
Cons
  • Dos Rond chair slow
  • Very exposed
  • Lower runs better in bad weather
