Montchavin piste Teppes
The Montchavin piste Teppes is a blue run in the Monchavin / Coches sector of La Plagne served by the Crozats chairlift. The piste has spectacular views (some of the best La Plagne scenery) across to Les Arcs and over the Isère valley with Mont Blanc far in the distance. It is one of the best blue pistes in La Plagne for skiing and snowboarding – both on and off-piste.
Note this area gives access to considerably easier and safer La Plagne off-piste riding – but you should still consider hiring a La Plagne guide when doing any kind of backcountry riding.
Even the most unsure of early intermediates will enjoy this cruising easy blue – though it does get slightly steeper toward the bottom. Also, there is a short flat section at the top of the run which will require a little schussing by skiers / skating by snowboarders.
After fresh snow, there’s an abundance of very accessible off-piste riding to be had finding new lines off this run – particularly after the first dog-leg at the start. Also, the newly-renovated Crozats chair is one of the fastest in La Plagne, meaning multiple laps with minimal uplift time.
