Bretelle Trieuse: Bretelle Trieuse is a useful and much under-used short piste which gives direct access from the Plagne Soleil / Plagne Villages side down into Plagne Bellecôte — without having to take the often nightmarishly busy Bergerie chair.
If you’re staying in Plagne Soleil (or even Villages), this short run can be the difference between queuing for half an hour or getting an early start. Access is solely via the short Dou du Praz drag lift at the top end of Soleil. Depending on where you’re based, it may mean a short hike — but during busy periods it’s worth the effort.

La Plagne intermediate piste Bretelle Trieuse: If you want a quieter route from Plagne Soleil / Villages into Bellecôte, this is the one. It’s a proper ‘useful’ piste rather than a destination run — but it can save you a load of time on busy weeks.
Expect a short, mellow blue that feeds into Trieuse to finish the job into Bellecôte. After fresh snow, the treed lines under Colosses can be a cheeky bonus for confident riders.
The piste itself is a fairly unspectacular blue with a camber sloping mainly left for most of its length until it joins the main Trieuse run into Bellecôte. After fresh snow, there are also options to duck under the fences and ride steeper tree sections under the Colosses chair.

Quick tip: Terrain varies a lot across La Plagne, and the wrong setup can turn an easy day into hard work. Booking ski or snowboard hire in advance means the right kit is ready, sizes are available and rental prices are cheaper online — plus you can choose a shop close to where you’re staying.

Bretelle Trieuse blue: Not the most exciting piste in the world — but a properly useful shortcut that can save you loads of time when Bergerie is rammed.

Quick tip: Even straightforward pistes can change quickly with weather, visibility and traffic. Good cover means lift evacuation, medical help and rescue costs are handled if something goes wrong — which in the Alps can otherwise be expensive.
If you haven’t sorted cover yet, it’s worth doing before your trip.
