Plagne Bellecôte piste Dunes: The runs fanning out from the top of the Arpette chair are some of the best confidence-building La Plagne intermediate pistes anywhere.

These easy-going blues mix long, cruising flats with slightly steeper sections on the way down — perfect for testing new skills and reinforcing what you’ve learned.

La Plagne intermediate piste Dunes: Dunes is a slightly steeper variation of the other Arpette-area blues, taking a more direct route down the hill before rejoining Arpette near the on-hill restaurant of the same name.

The run has impressive views across to Grande Rochette, Les Verdons, Biolley and the main La Plagne bowl — and early intermediates will love the width and forgiving feel.

The only real drawback is the busy uplift. The Arpette and Bergerie chairs flip for top spot as the busiest lifts in La Plagne and, as a main arterial lift out of Plagne Bellecôte (and the primary route over to Montchavin / Les Arcs), queues can build at almost any time of day.

If you want to maximise your riding time, you may well be better off mixing in other options — La Plagne has a stack of quality blues scattered all around the resort.
