Plagne Bellecôte piste Levasset Haut
The Levasset blue goes from the summit of Roche de Mio all the way down to the foot of the main Champagny sector (excluding the red run home, Les Bois). At its longest, this piste runs for just over 5.2km if you ride its entire length. For the purposes of clarity, we’ve split these into Plagne Bellecôte piste Levasset Haut, Plagne Bellecôte piste Levasset Mid and Champagny piste Levasset as they feel quite distinct.
Access to the Levasset is from any of the lifts that reach the top of Roche de Mio – i.e. the Roche de Mio gondola, Carella or Inversens chairs. To join the run, head down the main path under the Inversens chair before taking a left near the Inversens cafe on your right. From here, the run opens out to become a massively wide piste with undulations all the way down.
The Levasset piste is suitable for all levels apart from total beginners. In particular, intermediate riders will love the sense of space – although even advanced riders will enjoy letting rip in the massive bowl. The top part of the run terminates at the Plateau de Carella, a short rope tow that pulls you up a short uphill stretch to then join the second part of Levasset which eventually transitions over into the Champagny-en-Vanoise sector via the lower Champagny part of the Levasset blue piste.
