Gentil is a short, extending-rope drag lift through the trees just above the village of Plagne Montalbert which serves the short blue Gentil run to give access back down.

Affiliations: La Plagne 360 works with industry-leading suppliers to bring you the best services. If you click on these links, in many cases we will receive a tiny commission at no cost to you. AND, most of the time, you'll receive a deal. Win/Win! We only feature products we have used and believe in.

It’s worth noting, given the fact the main Montalbert gondola out of Montalbert accesses far more blue runs further up the mountain (including the option to ride down the Gentil run), most skiers and snowboarders will probably favour just taking the main ride to the top. Also, as this is an extending rope tow which many riders find tricky due to reduced stability, it’s probably easier to just stick to the main lift out of town.

Pros
  • Good beginners area
  • Never busy
  • Great scenery (look behind you)
Cons
  • Tricky lift for beginners
  • Serves very short run
  • Seems a little pointless
  • Better routes possible off Montalbert gondola
