Built in 2015, the Plagne Montalbert lift Montalbert gondola out of Montalbert village replaced the previous two-stage chairlift system out of the satellite. This ten-person gondola flies skiers and snowboarders up the 620m rise in just over 6 minutes – making it also one of the fastest lifts in the area.

From the top, riders gain access to the full Montalbert sector and its mix of easy, winding blues and reds through the trees – as well as some of the best off-piste in the whole area. When it snows, this is a great area to come to as it tends to stay quiet and fresh tracks are possible for longer than in the busier areas of La Plagne. Also, the extensive tree cover provides shelter and helps break up the cloud and snow on bad weather days.
