Plagne Montalbert piste Fornelet
Taken with the Bois Crozelin red and a short section of the Montalbert blue, the red Fornelet piste provides the quickest and most direct route back to Plagne Montalbert from the top of the Montalbert gondola.
The Fornelet piste is pretty straightforward apart from a short section near the top. While it’s tempting to turn left near the road crossing and buildings, you should actually go right – across the seemingly flat section and head towards the top of the Grangette drag lift.
Fornelet roughly follows the path of this lift through the trees until it opens out above the Stade de Montalbert piste. Stay left of the Stade to ride the full length back down to the village. This is an enjoyable red on wide pathways through the trees, perfect for laying out long carved turns at speed. To ride the full length again, take the Montalbert gondola back up or alternatively, for just the bottom section, hop on the Grangette drag lift.
