Plagne Bellecôte best blue pistes

There’s little doubt that one of the main reasons for La Plagne’s perennial popularity as the world’s most-visited ski area is its huge variety of flattering blue intermediate pistes.

While it’s true the whole of La Plagne has an abundance of blue runs, Plagne Bellecôte’s terrain is almost exclusively suited to improving skiers and snowboarders, making this a must-ride area for those looking for flattering runs to build confidence.

On this route, you’ll visit the Plagne Bellecôte best blue pistes, served by three high-speed, detachable lifts – the Arpette, Colosses and Les Blanchets.

If you’re a confident beginner or above, you’ll be spoiled for choice in the Bellecôte sector. Aside from Sources and Lognan, this area is all blue. Even then, the Sources piste is only steep in two sections that can be easily sideslipped to get down if you’re not feeling confident – check this guide for Roche de Mio to Plagne Bellecôte.

Another alternative, if you want to visit Roche de Mio, would be to take the Levasset piste down to the Quillis lift. We recommend avoiding the Tunnel blue piste – primarily because most people end up having to pole or unclip due to the shallow gradient.
