Barrières blue piste: The Montchavin piste Barrières blue run is more of a link route than a proper run. It starts from the top of the Crozats chair and drops onto the Arpette area in the Roche de Mio / Plagne Bellecôte sector above Plagne Bellecôte and Belle Plagne.
It’s one of the main routes back from Montchavin into the core area, which is why the Crozats chair is such a useful lift when you’re returning from Les Arcs. You can also use the Salla chair to get back up from Montchavin but, despite being a longer ride, Crozats is pretty much always quicker and is the better shout most days.

La Plagne intermediate piste Barrières: Although Barrières sits in the Bellecôte bowl, it’s officially marked as part of the Montchavin sector, largely because you can only access it from that side of the mountain.
At the top station, take a moment. The view over the Bellecôte bowl and across towards the Grande Rochette sector is properly impressive. On busy weeks it can get cramped on the pathway section as people funnel back from Montchavin and Les Arcs, so keep your head up and give others space.
Top tip: If it’s hectic, stay smooth on the narrow bits and don’t stop in pinch points.

Barrières blue piste: A useful link run with cracking views, sidehits, and easy off-piste access in good conditions, but it can get busy and it definitely rides like a pathway rather than a standalone piste.
