The Arolles blue can be reached by heading skier’s right at the top of the Colosses chair out of Plagne Bellecôte. The run starts on a relatively gentle gradient before veering right into a long traverse followed by a long left turn and an uphill section. You need to hold your speed to get over this without walking.

The piste then takes a very gentle slope across Leitchoums before finally reaching a marginally steeper section on the run-in through a wooded section to Bellecôte. This blue isn’t challenging in any way – other than the fact you will definitely want to try and keep speed for the flat and uphill sections. It’s not particularly recommended for snowboarders – though even skiers could well find themselves poling and schussing.

Pros
  • Wide piste
  • Even beginners can ride it – but will probably end up walking
Cons
  • A boring run
  • Very flat in places
  • Uphill section near start
