Chances are, if you’re making your way to Plagne Bellecôte from anywhere right of the satellite (on the piste map), you’ll end up on the Trieuse piste. Aside from Petite Rochette followed by Leitchoums, it’s pretty much the only route to access this side of the mountain without dropping over to the Champagny sector and taking routes from there. Consequently, it can get very busy on this run – particularly on the lower steeper section as you near Bellecôte where it also tends to get mogulled quite quickly.

Trieuse actually starts near the top of the Colosses chair before various other routes flow into its path. The gradient is very shallow for most of the top of this run before it passes under the Colosses chair where there is a slightly steeper pitch. You should try and keep your speed at the top to save walking the flat section before the restaurant on your left below the Colosses.

There are frequent jams in the steeper section above Plagne Bellecôte with novice riders picking their way down before the run turns left towards the bottom. The section above the halfpipe is almost always busy on all but the quietest of days. After this, the run mellows again as it flows down towards the main Bellecôte hub of lifts.
