The Plagne Montalbert lift Montalbert poma drag lift is located at the level of the main Montalbert village and serves a huge, wide-open beginners’ area with ample run-offs which will inspire confidence in even total novice riders. The lift itself has a small ‘kick’ at the start – but nothing that most riders shouldn’t learn to handle with a little practice.

At the top, heading left or right puts you at the top of the same wide, flat gradient piste – perfect for practising new skills and gaining trust in your abilities.

Pros
  • Wide piste
  • Ride anywhere
  • Good beginner lift
  • Near base restaurants
  • Accesses good beginner area
Cons
  • Gets busy in holiday periods
  • Be aware of people crossing the uptrack
