Lying below Grande Rochette and connected to Aime 2000 by cable car, Plagne Centre is the heart of La Plagne and hosts the majority of La Plagne nightlife. While the satellite isn’t particularly visually appealing, the range of accommodation and bars / restaurants more than makes up for the lack of aesthetics. Centre also has some of La Plagne’s fastest lifts giving easy access to other areas. It also hosts the La Plagne bus terminus so transport is easy from here. Couple this with the great runs down from Grande Rochette and Biolley and it’s easy to see why Centre is the preferred option for many. Visit the iRide / LaPlagne360 YouTube channel for more info.
Plagne Centre is the most cosmopolitan of all the La Plagne stations and offers some of the best bars and restaurants in the area. There are also late-night clubs for those not quite ready to head to bed. Indeed, Plagne Centre has pretty much everything you could want from a winter holiday – plus there’s the easy cable car connection up to Aime 2000. There are more shops here than anywhere else – and the ride home from La Plagne’s best on-hill apres ski is easy too.
La Plagne offers a regular bus service between the main stations at night – so trips to the other villages are possible if you tire of what’s here.
