La Plagne Belle Plagne village guide: Of all La Plagne’s satellite villages, Belle Plagne probably has the best in terms of location, connections, facilities, aesthetics and entertainment. Located at 2100m, Belle Plagne is one of La Plagne’s highest resorts with snow guaranteed all season. It also has the convenience of true ski-in / ski-out accommodation, with many of the apartments and hotels located directly on pistes.
With the gondola connection to Plagne Bellecôte assured until midnight, it’s also possible to visit the other resorts in La Plagne. Belle Plagne is also widely regarded as having the best nightlife in La Plagne. Visit the iRide / LaPlagne360 YouTube channel for more info.

La Plagne Belle Plagne village tour: Belle Plagne is probably the most convenient of all the La Plagne resorts as it offers unrivalled piste access from most accommodation. Indeed, many of the apartments and hotels here are located right next to the runs. We are literally talking ski-in / ski-out.
This Google Map shows a variation of the Belle Plagne blue run which runs directly through the resort. Follow this piste a little further and it takes you all the way down to Plagne Bellecôte.
If you’re based in Belle Plagne, sorting your hire in advance is one of the easiest wins for a smoother first day. With three SkiSet stores in the resort, it’s quick to collect your kit and get straight onto the pistes.
Booking online usually means better availability, less messing around and (normally) a lower price than walk-in rates.

Unlike many of La Plagne’s other villages, Belle Plagne gets the sun pretty much all day, meaning terrace beers later in the season, long after the other resorts are already in shade. It also has the Deep Nature spa if you’re looking for a little pampering plus some great restaurants.
It’s also worth bearing in mind, La Plagne offers a relatively regular bus service between all the main stations at night – so a trip to Plagne Centre or the other villages is always possible if you tire of the local scene. Plus there’s also the gondola link down to Bellecôte.
Check the Belle Plagne pistes and Belle Plagne lifts – part of the Bellecôte sector – or check the 3D map of La Plagne.
As handy as the piste-side access is in Belle Plagne, accidents can happen on marked runs and in poor visibility. Proper cover matters in France, because mountain rescue and medical support can be charged directly to you.
Also, if you’re planning any off-piste after snowfall, risks can ramp up quickly. Make sure you’re covered for the kind of riding you’ll actually do. True Traveller offers exceptional cover, even in its standard packages.
