The Bellecôte black in the glacier area of La Plagne is a long, steep run that feels as though it takes you into the middle of nowhere. The piste is accessed directly from the top of the new Glaciers gondola lift.

Eventually, the Bellecôte black sweeps all the way back to the foot of the Châlet de Bellecôte chair which you can use to get back to the mid-station, then ride the gondola to repeat the whole process again. If you’re in this area, there are various options for tackling La Plagne’s famed North Face – though you most definitely need a guide to tackle that area safely.

Pros
  • Snow-sure
  • Feels very isolated
  • Lots of off-piste opportunities
  • Steeper than most blacks in La Plagne
Cons
  • Long, flat run-in
  • Lifts back up are slow
  • There are multiple flat sections
