The Crépines piste is located in a large, shallow bowl in the Champagny sector of La Plagne, served exclusively by the Rossa chair. The relatively flat gradient of this run makes it a perfect beginners’ and early intermediate area – though it’s also a useful area for practicing other skills (like riding switch). Also, because the Rossa chair is mainly used by riders as a return route from the long Levasset blue piste, this area tends to stay very quiet (even if the lift can often get quite busy with return traffic).

Crépines features a very short, steep-ish pitch at the start of the run before transforming into a wide open, very mellow motorway piste. As the run takes a wider arc than its neighbours (Rossa and Sérac), riders will frequently find the chairlift drops out of view, making you feel far more remote than you really are.

The Champagny sector has some of the most dramatic views in all of La Plagne across the Courchevel and Méribel valleys (of Trois Vallées) as well as Grande Casse, the highest peak in the area. Consequently, even beginner riders will get the feeling of big mountain riding, even though they’re still well within bounds of the main area. Also, as this side of the mountain is South-facing, in good weather you can expect sunshine pretty much all day.
